Miah Starts Big School !

Well its been a while since I have updated Miah's blog. We have just been through a very tragic and sad time recently having  had to give our precious and handsome nine year old Cavalier 'Joey' his wings . I won't go into it as this is Miah's blog, but we have have been left very heartbroken over the loss  of our handsome man. It was very unexpected, it was highly suspected (by a canine Neurologist) that he had an aggressive tumour in his brain or at the top of his neck  :(

Our Little Girl Keeps On Blossoming!

I'm a few weeks overdue with this post but Miah is 6 months old, well closer to 7 months now :)

She recently had her desexing operation. All went very well, was quite a non event actually, she was up and about the day after as if she hadn't had anything done to her ! She's since had her stitches out. I'm glad its all over and in the past now.

I'm not going ramble on in this post,  instead I will share some current photos of our little precious girl. Enjoy.

Our Pretty Miah - Almost 6 Months Old !

Miah will be 6 months on the 27th of May! She is the most beautiful girl in the world, but then we are biased ! lol . She's very smart, too smart for her own good sometimes lol I think she's going through a toddler stage atm, into everything and not having as many naps ;-)

Miah is booked into be desexed end of this month. I'm sure all will go smoothly, despite that  i'm feeling bit anxious, well a lot, but I know she will bounce back very quickly! :)

Our Little Girl Is Growing up!

Miah is certainly growing up quickly. She's still our baby girl tho ;-)

She's such a joy to own and love. Each day we fall deeper and deeper in love with her.

I recently bought her a new collar for the next stage of her life. She still has to grow into it more, but that won't take long.

 Here is a couple of photos of her wearing it. Unfortunately she was being wriggly, and we weren't able to capture the detail in the collar, which has silver diamonte bones around it.It came with a matching leash.. You can view it here also. I think you can get this set with gold plated bones as well. Gold probably would have looked smart on Miah, but I personally prefer silver.

I also recently bought a gorgeous purple doggy poo handbag holder that attaches through the leash handle.  There's a opening at the bottom of it that you can pull the bags from.  After all every girl dog has to have her fav handbag when she goes out to special places. Bought from Kim of  'In Your Footsteps' here in Goolwa SA.

Miah's Day Out At The Cavaliers Capers Fun Day 14.4.2013

We are members of the Cavalier Club of SA.Yesterday they had one of their fun day for the  us pet owners to get together and mingle with other Cavalier owners (and Cavaliers of course!) and Breeders associated with the club. Its always a great day held twice a year at a  fantastic venue - Beefacres Reserve Windsor Gardens.

We took all 3 of our Cavs, all traveled very well in the car going to it (its a bit of a distance for us, but worth it!)

It was Miah's first time there, and altho she was highly excitable as puppies are, she loved every min of it. Was very well behaved and friendly to everyone who came to say hello to her. I think she thoroughly enjoyed it. She also got to see one of her litter mates Hadley and her Breeder Jenny Brice again :)

They put on a  mini show with a proper judge for us pet owners to have fun in as if it was a real show. We entered The Best Puppy in Show event with some other cute Cavalier puppies under 12 months and to my surprise we came second ! I was so chuffed that we got a red ribbon and a bag of goodies. She did very well for her first fun day!

Its great seeing so many Cavaliers having a great time, you just have to look at all the wagging tails everywhere to see they are ! :) Its also a wonderful opportunity to catch up with both breeders of our Cavs.

Anyway we took some video footage of the day and some photos, but I will just put up one of Miah and I for now, and a couple of Miah and Her Mummy 'Mindy' on the day. Michael my husband took the photos. If interested please check back later to see if I have added any more photos to this post.

Miah's First Easter

We bought an Easter Hamper from Kaya's Mission for the Cavs, which included 3 beautiful Easter themed Bandanas (and an Easter hamper bag) made by Erica Davison of Haughty McNaughty, Easter treats from Pawsome and Waggy Dog Bakehouse, toys 
and a cute handmade Easter bunny soft toy.

*It wasn't easy trying to take pics of them all with treats around lol They all had their bandannas on, its just that they aren't showing up clearly in some of the pics.

Miah's Loveheart Marking

Its another sign she was the One! (we did have to squish her marking to make it look more like a love heart)  ;-)

Of course Joey and Renae are also the love of our lives :)

We are not sure what will happen to that patch of hair as she gets bigger. But for now It's very cute!
