Renae will be 11 this year, and was recently diagnosed with a liver issue. The Vets don't really know what exactly is causing it. She has had tests done and been on medications. Not much else can be done but to keep an eye on her tor any changes. She has good days and bad days. We are not sure how much longer she will be with us but every moment and extra day we have with her is a bonus, and we treasure the time we have left with her.
Renae hasn't been fussing over Miah as much as what we thought she would have (She's been a Mother to two litters, Joey was from her first litter), but given the circumstances that she is not well, it is understandable. Miah being the confident little girl she is quite forward with being all over them (and She's a puppy after all!). If She is invading their space they both will growl a little to warn her off. She does listen to them !
Yesterday I caught Miah stealing a carrot treat straight out of Renae's mouth! I couldn't believe that Renae had let her get away with it, but she had !
Earlier today Miah was on the sofa laying next to me while I was watching some tv, and Renae was also next to me on the sofa sleeping and Miah rolled over and snuggled right into Renae. It was very cute. Luckily Michael was around to quickly take a couple of photos of them :)
